Karen Kelso, Squash Pro
Karen Kelso, our fabulous Squash Pro at Nick's Pro Fitness, offers private and group lessons for all ages during the day, after school, and evenings. You can sign up for single lessons or 5-lesson sessions. Karen has taught hundreds of players, and she introduces new people to squash every season.
Karen has been addicted to squash since she was 7 years old. She was in the top 3 in the USA for almost 20 years, including first in the nation in women's doubles, second in hardball squash, third in softball squash, and 27th in the World WISPA rankings. Karen played professional, competitive squash around the world as a member of 7 national squash teams, and has taught squash since 1985 to people ages 5 - 75. Karen restrings tennis, squash, and racquetball racquets.
- Ranked No. 2 nationally in hardball singles for 9 years beginning in 1984
- Ranked No. 1 nationally in hardball doubles (1984)
- Ranked No. 3 nationally in softball singles (2000)
- Highest world ranking - No. 27
- Nationally ranked top 3 in the USA for almost 20 years
- Played for the University of Pennsylvania's Women's Squash team (1982-1985) Four-Time First-Team All-Ivy (1982-1985)
- Voted all IVY all 4 years at University of Pennsylvania, All American Captain of the varsity squash team at Penn (1985)
- Elected to the University of Pennsylvania Athletic Hall of Fame (2005)
- US Squash Certified Referee Instructor and Ratings Verifier
